Hey Guys,
I am gonna build [Rebuild :P ] my b**ch PC in few days.I thought,why not use my first modded cabby with it.This is the same cabby that me n Appo modded long time ago.
Here are the pics of it,


Thats a general side view.



Thats the front end.



Thats how it will look with the side panel closed.



Those are the Optical Drive Bays..



Those are the HDD bays,i know its stupid to have em so less and ODD bays are so much...:@



Thats where the PSU will fit,in the upper segment.



Thats the Mobo area in the lower segment.

Now as you all have seen is it a good choice to go with this cabby with the following config ?

System will be something like this -

AMD Opteron 144
DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D
512 x 2 OCZ Gold VX OR TwinMos BH-5 256 x 2
120 SATA Cuda
Samsung CD Rom
1.44MB FDD
6200TC OR ATI RageXL 8MB PCI Card [I Know...:ashamed: ]
Powersafe 400W SMPS

I plan to fit all 4 80mm fans [LED,Antec or Vantec]
Some CCFLs if possible [UV]
Lets see
Wanna make it totally lighted one...

So i would need your suggestions...
I am thinking whether to keep this [Sitting idle biting dust] or buy Antec Super Lanboy,but that will mean i will have to pump in 5k more...which i can save if i use this cabby..

Very confused,please help...:huh:
 
give the case to automotive painters...they'll scrape the paint for you..did the same for my case
 
Try and get some UV reactive paint.. It'll look uber with CCFL's or UV bulbs..

P.S. : Juust got some UV bulbs (60W regular) for my room, and that place rocks ! Will post some pics..:D
 
Darky... I would say scrap this cabby.. Why cause its heavy and a dud at cooling... If you wanna make a file server of it then good otherwise not good... The HDD bay of the cabby is a pain in the ass and the Distance between the PSU and the optical drive bay ... Well... Dont get me even started on the rest... No space for 120 MM's Why do i know all this cause i have the same cabby lying with me and i dont like it at all... You will be a lot happy with Super LanBoy... Trust me the caby gets big on you when you start using it... Everything thing is very easily swappable... And as this will be a b**ch rig... Well b**ches are supposed to look better then dogs... Arent they... Super lanboy all the way...

And the chrome thing... Well it looks yuk... If you een plan to use the same cabby i will advise you to paint the interios with UV reactive paint and the outside powdercoated black...
 
yaa get a big cabby,

i say either go real small like macmini/optiplex or just go with a good size case which is easy to upgrade, oc etc

Sir... I think you havent noticed the size of the cabby yet... Its a full tower case... It doesnt get any biger then this...
 
If i paint it like this, how will it look ?







How will it look if i paint in Glossy Black ?
I donno how efficient these pics prove in showing the effect after applying a sample coat.:P

Now Darky since you have been titled "Poorest of TE", I think super-lanboy (as Switch said) is a better thing to opt for... still its you whos gotta decide. Idea of UV painted inside is super cool tho! But chrome sucks on a PC man!

My 2 cents, opt for a glossy paint work with DFI Colors (yellow & orange for out side) and make it look like a HOT-ROD ;)
 
Well Harshal,thats what i have in Mind ...
Will paint the Cabby jet black,everywhere...and then use LED Fans UV CCFL so that the DFI board brightens up all the case,and window is there...so
 
i think ur choice is good darky ..... jet black will looks kool on that case ...... case is really big but the thing is wat u gonna do in all the space :)
 
Well this case was lying idle since ages...
So thot,instead of spending 5k,why not use this ?
So started this thread to see what others feel about my idea..

from where u got that stuff .....

i think water kooling will be gr8 in that case :D
