Is this a good enough Case ??

no for glossy finish .. will be a pain to maintain both due to fingerprints as well as scratches. try a matt black finish , both for the interior as well as exterior

Its not roomy on the inside, specially depth wise.

I think everyone had forgotten about my little adventure with the same case.

Those who were on TA and early on TE might remember.

I ended up painting it all black, remember the front of the cabinet is not metal and its plastic. So croming it wont look good with plastic.

I hand painted it all black, before that i had painted it silber, yellow, green, blue and settles to black.

Made a side window. If you plan to use this cabinet then you can make bigger side pannel.. Cutting through 3mm steel is tough but angle grinder with metal cutting blade will do it :P

As far as i am concerned, this cabiner is not recommended by Full size ATX boards like DFI. This is not meant for the EATX boards. So the HDDS come right where power/ HDD connectors are usuallyplaced. Pain to install. Trust me on that. And its steel so weighs a ton.

That moded cabinet doesn't have enough dept. So i wouldn't advice it :no: .

Wait untill i get my hands on the Antec 120mm Tri Led fan and 2 Ccfls(1UV and 1 normal blue ccfls) and i'll show you my cabinet and the DFI in their all Glory:ohyeah:

:@ Then why did you ask me to pass it to you! Wierd......I am certain Switch got a soft corner for it....he had been eying this enclosure since I picked it up in 2001. Still love it thats why I ain't sold it outright!

Darky - keep the cabinet. Loads of space. Lanboys are for the damn clubbers out there ... Now what you got there is a real Mans cabby!

@ switch, i got a similar case. had bought it during the I486 days hence it is AT format.:)
if you really want to mod it then just let me know ....;) :)
it will be urs for the asking ...
it is ivory colour hence ur painting skills will be better utilised too .... C'mon be a man now ...:ohyeah:
 
lolz... Darknight though has gifted me the case but has not given me permissions to mod it... i wanted the yank out the HDD bay and do some other stuff on to the case but was denied...

When i asked "May I Mod My Gifted case" i was told "Its not a gift... Is not suppsed to be modded... If its modded you die..." I have frequent visits at my place Noida from Dwaraka Delhi just to check upon the case. Now you guys decicde what sort of a *friend* is darknight :'(

@Dj... Thanks man... I would have gladely takem up your offer but since the location is so far i dont really think its feasible... Sooner or later i will break this moron feelings towards the case and Mod it to Glory :ohyeah:... I have been eyeing to mod this case since the the day he got it from bombay...

:@ Maybe I can put you in the mini bar......Only thing is that the casing would be of no use once that is done.....

I have the same case - I used it for some time till I got the P160. Here are pictures of it - I had 2 80mm fans in frontpanel / 1 120mm on side panel / and 2 92mm on back panel. I had so many fans on it that it gave lower CPU temp than my P160.

This case is now retired to my attic.
