Hey people,

Please tell me if this is a good config for gaming

Q6600 B3 revision
P5n e sli
CM extreme 600w
2gb corsair ram 800mhz
8600GT
160gb seagate IDE
320gb SATA
chiefttec cabinet

Please tell me .. is the above config good for gaming ?

I will be playing games like Counter-strike 1.6/CZ mostly .. and some newer games.

My bro will also use it for his 3d applications sometimes (3dsmax etc).. but mostly i will use it for gaming.

My bro has already purchased this system without even asking me keeping his 3D apps in mind :@ .. so i really wanna know if this config is suitable for gaming

Please let me know asap.

yes the system is already purchased .. but my bro is saving cash for his bike & if incase something is not compatible to play Counter strike (like CPU) then he will have to get me another proc. :@

Please let me know .. will CS work on Q6600 B3 ? A friend told me it wont :(

Need an answer asap :/

u have Q6600 + 8600 and u are talkin bout CS? :| mate...this pc is good enuff to handle much more grafix intense games like Upcoming UT n NFS PRO STREET....

incase u wish to throw off ur new Q6600....buzz me :P ( kidding ) :D
 
I played CS 1.6 on my P III 733 Mhz at 800 X 600 with acceptable frame rates
your system can even handle crysis at medium-low settings
