Is this flash safe for my DSLR?

Hi, just found my dad's 17 year old Zenit camera along with Achiever 828 Flash.. I tried connecting it to my Nikon D3100 and it worked perfectly.
Just curious, will the flash be safe in long run?? considering Trigger Voltage of older flash-- Which I have no Idea about

Might be risky.. assuming your suppose to take 12V, you need to measure value for your dslr.

I had gone through that earlier.. my flash is not listed there..

you can measure the flash voltage using a multimeter.. If it is something more than you dslr voltage, avoid it
