Is this gpu bottleneck? R5 3600 x 3070ti

Hi,
So I recently purchased a 3070ti Zotac card, I was aware that my card will bottleneck, but its temporary as I will get a new cpu in december or january..
The only game I play these days is MW2 and with the 3070ti im getting 70-100 fps in max settings 1080p, however I am facing some fps drops mid game which are very annoying and unusual.
Need to know if the cause is the cpu or some other things..
Also (this could be another problem) my ram is 24gb (3x8gb ) where one of them is 3600 mhz and the other two are 3000mhz but my pc however cant run it at 3000mhz for all three? idk if im dumb or is that not possible? (Used the xmp profile but it only works for a day with next restarts it goes to 2133mhz again).

So, my question being, is this caused by cpu or someother hardware? (ik im not supposed to get a lot more fps as the gpu is bottlenecking, but need to know if the fps drops are caused due to the same reason).

PC SPECS:
Ryzen 5 3600
Zotac 3070ti trinity oc
24gb ram (8x3)
ASROCK b450 pro4
CX650 corsair PSU

modern mid tier GPU are properly utilized at 1440p and above, at 1080p you need good CPU to make use of your GPU. seems like a bottleneck since it shouldn't give such low fps since its a 2k max setting gaming card.
your entire setup feels messy. i think the xmp profile is getting effected by imbalance of those ram speed difference (not sure just my guess).

you can try removing the 3600hz ram and see whether you get stable 3000s of the other two ram you got, 16gb is enough.
then you can try getting second-hand/new 5600x at least to not bottleneck your GPU.

Yea, Ik whole setup is trash rn, since im upgrading stuff one by one, thanks for the suggestion for RAM, will definitely try to remove that 3600 one.
 
I dont think your setup is a bottleneck for that game. If you play only this or similar games dont waste on a upgrade unless you wanna splurge..

As for your ram issues, try a bios update as a recent update might had fixed the issue else configure ram speeds manually. Google for how to do it.
 
Are you sure it's not the game itself ? The last MW too had performance issues in the first few months, they later optimized it quite well and most of the issues got ironed out.
It's why I always buy COD a month or two after release when it goes on sale for Christmas.

Ik it shouldn't bottleneck that much the only thing that bothers me is the fps drops which is very annoying.. i used to play at lowest settings before on my gtx1080 and didnt use to encounter this problem. But now i do, not sure why.
 
My 3600 was severely bottlenecking my 3080ti. Just upgraded to 5800x and that made a world of difference. I can't be 100% sure how much a 3070ti will be affected by a 3600 but would still recommend getting a new processor. Sell your 3600 and you can get around half the money needed for a 5600x anyways.

Very much possible, but when I used to play this a few days ago with my gtx 1080 at lowest settings, this didnt happen(fps drops), but now after 3070ti something's wrong.

So the suggested things and test! Bios update and also update to latest NVIDIA drivers and also your mobo chipset drivers etc.
Manually adjust your ram speeds to the lowest one for al 3 sticks.
If on 1080 you could play at lowest settings there's no reason why on 3070 you cant play on low to mid settings.
 
If the temps are fine and you didn't encounter this with the GTX 1080, then I suspect it's some kind of software issue. Did you try using DDU to completely remove the existing Nvidia drivers and do a fresh install? It's recommended when swapping GPUs on the same Windows installation.

EDIT: Also, If your XMP was off and the RAM was running at 2133MHz when you had stutters, that's likely the issue. Ryzen is very sensitive to memory speeds. Even if your average FPS is not affected much, your 0.1% and 1% lows can tank with slow RAM.

Thats probably it, heard it from another guy as well, yea it runs at 2133mhz for some reason xmp cant keep it running at 3000mhz for more than a day. Also this is another issue, where my pc keeps trying to restart (like motherboard logo appears more than 2 or 3 times before it actually turns on the pc) for some reason, maybe thats because of the ram as well, I can't think of any other issue

I guess you're right and onto something, i was looking out for this too.. my xmp profile says cl-16 and not sure what else timing means, please let me know more to fix this. CL16 is in my xmp profile , RAM i have is Gskill 8gb 3600mhz, corsair vengeance 8gbx2 3000mhz, i told you the names so that you can maybe help me with the timing, requesting you to help me more for this.
 
Just use cpuZ to identify the timings of all the sticks,this way you can for sure weed out the culprit.
 
Just disable XMP and manually overclock your RAM to 3000Mhz (max supported by at least one of the sticks).

You can then later tune the timings of all sticks to that of the slowest speed RAM. It should probably be fine but to be 100% sure you can use memtest86 to run a memory test at boot outside of windows.
