My Airtel Broadband connection is not working properly since morning, some site opens some not. Some open with full speed, some show error, however from some site i am getting full 2mbps bandwidth download I asked two of my friend Banglore and Rajkot, they also reported slow internet. is it me only, or you also facing some sort of similar problem today :(:( 1 week ago, i had changed my phone line wire, every thing worked smoothly till today :(
 
First contact your operator and register the complaint. The first step is not to look whether everyone has the same problem, it is to look for what's wrong with your connection.

I *think* I felt the same too in Mumbai, but was sure that @Being.smart would create a silly thread for the same and hence didnt bother.[DOUBLEPOST=1371583125][/DOUBLEPOST]Off topic : Is it possible for someone with the highest post count/thread started count to take over the forum one fine day?

I am facing a similar issue from yday in Pune. Though its not with sites.... Sites load as before but youtube fails to buffer videos and i checked with pingtest.net the latency was much higher than usual....
I am on Broadband Pacenet (which takes most of its bandwidth from TATA)
Could it be some undersea cable again??? yday a ship sank somewhere in the arabian sea about 1500kms from Mumbai...
 
I used to have such issue(error in opening web pags) in BSNL connection a long time back. Later I realized it was their DNS which goes down frequently. I started using OpenDNS & Google's DNS which solved my problem.

I always use google DNS :D

and update, there's some problem in the local line due to which mine internet was not working fine :D

They are trying hard and running everywhere since morning to find the fault :D

Just pray the line gets fine soon :(
 
Finally after 2 day, problem sorted and my internet speed resumed to blazing :D

There was a fault in line 3 street back, and everything is fine. Their CC also promised to offer some discount in the upcoming bill in order to compensate for the problem which i faced :D :D
 
The DSL blinking problem started once again since 2-3 days back :(. After working for 15-20min its starts blinking, and internet get's Disconnected.

The landline is working fine without any disturbance.

Told one of my friend about the problem, he came up with a weird solution :O
He asked me to lift the phone receiver and keep your line engage all the time till you are using internet, and damm his trick worked :O. I hadn't faced any problem since last 8 hr, and internet is working flawlessly.

Can anyone detail me , what might be the cause of the problem, is it that my modem is dieing, or there is some problem with telephone, recently i had got my whole line changed due to this error.
