I mean they were not violently protesting. They were not against the constitution.

When we do this with say Kashmir Separatist or Khalistan the entire west is against us .

I understand the hypocrisy but so blatantly and openly going against their own policies is bit surprising .

The charge or reason isn't mentioned.

It always struck me as odd why the state never acted (only now it happens under different leadership) when there was blatantly obvious support for a nationally recognised terrorist outfit.

In India this would be a normal outcome as foreigners don't have a right to speech or assembly and to go against that would not be in line with the purpose of a student, particularly foreign.
 

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said the United States “will take over” the Gaza Strip — possibly with the help of American troops — while the Palestinians who live there should leave, a stunning proposal that would dramatically reorient the Middle East and subject a population of more than a million to further displacement.

“The US will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do a job with it too,” Trump said during a joint press conference alongside his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu, later describing his vision for the area as a new “Riviera.”

“We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings,” he said.

Asked whether he was willing to send US troops to fill a security vacuum in Gaza, Trump did not rule it out.

“As far as Gaza is concerned, we’ll do what is necessary. If it’s necessary, we’ll do that. We’re going to take over that piece that we’re going to develop it,” he said.

By US taking over Gaza no one can accuse Israel of a land grab and it sets an excellent precedent for detetrence to any group thinking if carrying out another Oct 7. Don't reward them wuth two state nonsense in response to Oct 7. Instead take away what they cherish most.

We all need to keep repeated reading of books like Akbar-Birbal, Hitopdesh/Panchtnathra/singhasan battisi/Vikram Aur Betal , these stories still capable to provide solutions to most of tricky situations/conflicts.

it has to be profitable and beneficial for adani corp first to be beneficial for india too. and atleast monetarily some benefits will also pass on to some indians too through big and really noble humanitarian service seva initiatives such as this.
