Issue in my BSNL Broadbnd usage !!!!!!

You definitely should have !!! Although BSNL doesn't warn anyone regarding this(why would they:no: ),you ought have avoided the risk of leaving it on, by reconnecting before and after the 'free hours' duration...

You can still try convincing them that the usage was anonymous...
 
Hey..... I am using Bsnl for the past 6 months and i dnld daily in the nite.... I never disconnect the connection , its always ON .

During 2 AM to 8 AM , utorrent starts and stops .. Till this date i hav not got an issue regardin the nite free usage ... When i check the usage , it is displayed as 0 in the bandwidth used during the free usage time.... It has been so till now....

The issue now is , from 8 PM to 11 PM when my system was not in use(idle) , the usage displayed in 1GB....I wil post the screen shots today night as am out of my home.... This 1 GB usage is not the night usage(2 AM to 8 AM) ...
Its the day usage when i was not in home.....

Are you sure some UPDATE process wasn't running? Or maybe slow download of what you were downloading,thereby extending after 8am?

try ruling out all possibilities and then file a complaint asap !
Else they'll make you pay the whole amount...

I think thatz your problem. You have to reset the modem after 2 am else all the data usage is added to the previous session i.e. the limited(day time) session.

This seems a good point but i have never done that and also not got any prob regading that .....

Ya..... very sure that no dnld were running at the back.....
 
which router model are u using? As far as authenticity is concerned, this is most likely unwritten rule and still people have experianced sevaral times? Why do u wanna take risk of getting bloated bill where u have nothing on ur defense (proof). Only thing u can say at that time is........ oh...... bsnl didnt tell me to disconnect at 2am and 8am....

I am on combo 500C plan and have automated disconnecting at 1:59am, reconnecting at 2am and similarly at 8am. I have set modem to autodial (no use of windows dialer) to outmost safe bet, i would say. I use FDM for this task. And download with utorrent
