hi i wanna buy a PC with the below configuration, how will CRYSIS run, will i be able to play it without any problem(like less FPS etc) . and i would also like to play other Latest Games like, Lost Planet, HF2 EP2, BIOSHOCK etc.

Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo E8200
Motherboard - ASUS NVIDIA nForce 650i
Graphics Card - eVGA 9600GT SuperClocked 512MB
RAM - Transcend 2X1GB DDR2 800MHz
Monitor - Viewsonic 17'' LCD.

Just wanna know about the configuration and Monitor.... as i have seen in many posts people suggesting 19'' and 22'' for gamming... can i settle down with 17'' monitor. I don't need resolution more than 1600x1200. Please help me out..

Dude.

A lot of things are wrong here.

1. A 17" doesn't support a resolution of 1600x1200. A square-aspect LCD has a max res of 1280x1024 and a widescreen LCD is max at 1440x900.
As I keep posting, it doesn't matter what hardware you have in your system if the end result cannot be displayed on the most eye-grabbing display possible. You're not going to sit and stare at all the fans and chipsets in your cabinet all day I hope. :)
With a config like that you're better off with atleast a 19" and even better a 22" (supporting a res of 1680x1050).

2. Yes, that config will play every game out there at 1680x1050. Even Crysis if you take the time and have some patience to tweak it properly before playing. I can post screenshots from my setup (E8200@3.2Ghz + ATi HD3850 OC 512MB) running Crysis with Fraps on @1680x1050 if you want. I get an average of 20fps, which for Crysis is just about enough, just about. :)

3. The Asus 650i board is a waste of your time and money. Opt for an Intel P35 based board, ppl here love the Abit IP35-E and the Biostar boards. I have a Gigabyte DS3-L which has great sound onboard. :)

Apart from that. Good config.

Payne

PS: If 22" >> Dell. If 19" >> Dell. :)

Hehehehe. Then a rep might be in order. :P (I should stop asking now. :D )

Also, post your total budget available for the build. And people here will whip you up a top config in no time at all. :) Who knows, you might be able to afford a better config or maybe downgrade a few things to accomodate a 22" LCD in the system.

My total budget is around 40k (Indian Rupees, including Monitor), configuration for a Good Gamming PC(to play all the latest games) is always a welcome.... plz suggest.

I have a 17 Incher Square Monitor.. n IMO its the Best for gaming... But very bad for movies :|

Else go for 19" widescreen... nthing more for ur config... if u go for 22" u CANT PLAY GAMES AT HIGH SETTINGS FOR SURE

Hell, yeah ! :hap2:

Edit: For the post below ;) : For 40k, he should be able to get a pretty decent setup to run a 19" or even a 22". You should have mentioned "best for that config" if that's what u meant :)

^^ no dude really i still miss my 17" for cs 1.6 :(

ram 3 gb of gskill
-800 mhz
-ddr2
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>rs 3000

just pondering about RAM.. why 3gb precise ??

btw the config you mentioned was not soo good :(
you need p35/45 chipset mobo...if you are going for that proccy.. (i dont like nvidia chipset for intel proccy :P)

If possible you can go for ATI 4850 seems like its 8k odd

also as payne suggested 19" monitor will fit easily in your budget and believe me you wont regret going for 19"...

Lastly go for 2 x 2gb RAM..you can get 4gb RAM at very cheap rate these days, more the RAM the better perfo [if not gskills or corsairs even transcend's RAM with power chips will suffice ;)]

^^lol, me ashamed ! Didn't even see the dates  ! Kick to myself for being such a smart ass :P

Edit: Bl**dy smart ass black hybrid :@ ! Why the hell did you dig up such an old thread? I've got half a mind to -ve rep u :@ !

LOL that guy must be looking to sell his system by now....:S :S :S
What a sad thing!!!!
I appreciate the thread digging skills of whoever managed to dig this thread up!!:bleh: :bleh: :bleh: :bleh:

Crysis on that rig will run fine at 1024x768 Medium or everything on High with shadows on Low. That is what I find flawless gameplay. You can move the settings up and the FPS will go down, I for one don't like that. The other games will run much better.

^^^   I don't f*****g believe this!!!

Edit:vvv Lol at the reply below  ! Doesn't anyone read all the posts anymore? Do me a favour and read all the posts!
