For those who aren't in the know, this guy's the brother of Maggie Gyllenhaal from The Dark Knight and also played Donnie Darko in the cult classic.

and a little too white imo :) a fake tan would do good.
 
When I read the title... I was like WTF!!

Off-course I like Jake and Donnie Darko is one of my all time fav movies, but I didn't expect him to do the prince (which also happen to be one of my fav game). I don't doubt his acting abilities, I wasn't sure he could do prince's character. But after looking at the picture, I think he had worked well on the character.

I think now, he does look good as prince. But like ashr said, bit of fake tan wouldn't hurt. :)
 
Well you know they could always give him a fake tan in post production... Hoping for good things for this movie though.
 
And I thought Hugh Jackman made a perfect prince.This is the true prince IMO.

ZOMG! Just saw the release date & this movie is not due till 2010.That's way too far.
 
wasn't this guy in Brokeback mountain? I thought he'd be too thin for the job...looks much better than I imagined. Hope he can manage all those swift moves.
 
^ Yeah the same dude, also acted in Zodiac and jarhead. I had the same thought of him being too thin for the role.

Forget this guy. Any Kannadigas know about that Kannada movie where the hero is dressed just like the prince from WarriorWithin in one of the songs maybe? Hillarious stuff.
 
looks good.. but as stated earlier a bit too white.. maybe they will make the movie a bit in sepia tone.. like they did with the matrix movies with the greenish tone.. i guess that might make him look browner :P well neway.. damm excited bout this movie now after seeing the pics... and i dont think he shouldve bulked up so much.. i always pictured william turner form pirates movies.. (donno what his name is :P) as POP .... well i hope jake nails the emotional scenes that we see in the POP 2 prerendered cut scenes.. they were just excellent..
 
Orlando Bloom as POP ! He is rosy ! :P Though both him and jake look gay :P

But Orlando for any good movie is a No - No ... the only place where he was decent was LOTR .... there he just had to look good ... Didn't have many dialogues

Jake Gyllenhal - I was impressed with him in Zodiac ... haven't seen Donny Darko and the others yet.

Brad Pitt could have been a choice as well, with his lean frame. Jake looks jsut too bulky - like a bear.
 
Orlando Bloom is only good at flirting with other people wives (in movie that is) :P, besides that I don't find his acting abilities that good. He's okay, if not bad.

Though I agree Jake looks bit bulky, I think overall he does suit as prince... at least in the photograph. But he's also good in devoting to character development, so I think he would have done enough physical homework for prince's moves. I hope they are making triology, cause I would really love to see WW on big screen.
