Japan kicks in 1Gbps net speed

Umm yeah very nice, but what kind of servers are going to give them 1Gbps upload speeds?

And torrents I'm pretty sure wont go beyond 100Mbps.

Its basically going to be one huuuge Japanese LAN-Gang fest with LOTS of Anime. LOTS.
 
that kind of speed in not capable actually. No site would allow you to fetch that much traffic in one go. Many sites may limit your connection requests to 10-30 mbit.

Oo yeah but maybe torrent with 10000s numbers of peers would surely help.
Get me RAID - 1 on SCSIz please. :hap2:

It's not about how fast can you download but how much you can download at the same time.
