nah except one news article could not find the source for this seems false .

may be checking how people reacts, users shifting to other service providers or not, so can keep increasing (or reduce before BSNL Entry) price before or after Diwali.

PS:

JIO gives you free service for 2 days to all Jio users, who face issue on Tuesday 17-09-2024.
I'm on yearly plan with per day 2.5GB data but today they give me 2GB per day FREE for 2 days (19 & 20)
