yes it works that way.
The sim cant be used in a phone. But why would you want to do that if you are already having the MyFi device?
I can make calls and receive on JIO using the JIO JOIN app.
Used the myfi device almost non stop over the last 4-5 days. The experience has been very impressive. 3 other friends also got this device after a demo from me.
I was getting 9-12Mbps in rural areas where at time even 3G does not work. And if 3G works I get only 1-1.5Mbps.
4G network is available in most of the places. (Even rural).
If the Network indicator is
Green: Then it is on 4G network.
Blue: on 3G network.
Red: No Network.
I had purchased a Sony SRS X55 bluetooth speaker from Amazon last week.
Combine non stop 4G coverage + OP3 + Sony SRS X55 + JIO Beats app. I got more than my money's worth over the weekend.
I was like a live jukebox playing what ever songs my parents requested. And they happiness was priceless for me when on every song they shared their memories of the movies or where they saw the movies. It was a life time memory for me to be a part of their golden memories. For that and only for that reason I would even shell upto 2k a month if I get same experience from JIO on network speeds and application content when they launch commercially.
