this is an awesome piece of software!!!

but i am facing a strange problem...most channels go thru a cycle of playing fine n then playing rubbish...using DU meter i found out that when the channel is playing fine the bandwidth used is high n constant....but when the playing stops the bandwidth used is low n constant...
i mean there are cycles of high n low...i have an Exatt 512k connection (which is suprising well with the downloads n surfing...i can even watch youtube!)
 
nah to watch you will easily need speeds graeter than 1mbps.....now thats wen the 2mbps BSNL will be put to gud use!!!!

hey but there r not many indian channels.. like star tv n all?? :(

and its working fine also.. i mean its not lagging or sumthin...
 
For smooth surfing on just youtube, you require at least around 700kbps bandswidth. 512kbps will suffice some of the low reso/low quality sound videos on youtube, but around 700kbps rounded to 1mbps is the min on youtube.

Even this software requires at least 1mbps. So unless our ISP start waking up to real broadband, we'll have to watch 'em with lags.
 
even i have used TVU i have 128kbbs unlilmited which becomes 256kbps at night and even at 256kbps it was choppy and blocky as hell!!!

so btw wat connection do u have
 
i hav BSNL ka 256kbps wala unlimited connection..

well i downloaded TVU today only.. previously its zip file wasn't opening.

Today i saw sum soap in Nickelodean in the evening around 630. there was no lag at all... n it came very nice...
 
This has some great channels. And all working here perfectly (Thanks to 2mbps mtnl NU :P )

this player lagged a bit in between.. but TVU wala working fine.. the nickelodean wala channel :P its nice also lol aur ab to mera tv bhi bandh hogaya... CAS has been implemented at my area and v r still confused wat to take... tata sky or set top box :P
 
see if you are playing channel with anything higher than 256k bitrate it will lag as thats max your internet connection can take. So it will keep buffering.

The channel bitrate is shown on the right.

The HDTV channel i have posted screenie of is 2000 kbps. Will work only on MTNL/BSNL 2 mbps lines.
