I want to jump start(using a wire to make connections between green and black wires of 24pin connector) my Cooler master PSU, but its not starting. Local PSU's works like wonders but this is the only case i am facing the problem. Is there any way i can jump start the PSU or is there any other combination?? :ashamed:  :S

Should work. Cross check pin numbers (pin 16 - PS on; pin 15 - ground) in case they've scrambled the colour codes for your 24-pin ATX connector. Try adding a load as well - a fan or an ODD/HDD.

Which PSU? Any reason you want to jump start it?

Actually i have a 3.5 Internal HDD with Sata to USB Convertor.

I want to get some data from the drive, so need to give it power...
