@ devesh38 - I think you could still buy Sandy Bridge and stay away from the blue colored SATA II ports, and everything should be fine. But as per the benchmarks, X58 seems to perform better than Sandy Bridge when it comes to clock for clock comparisons. I could be mistaken though.
I have many HDDs........ so i will end up using all the sata ports on the board....... so i will prefer to w8....... will play crysis2 2 times........:D

I figure the problem is only with SATA II ports 2->6. And since I have only 1 hard drive and 1 CD-ROM drive, that I could just use the JMicron controller, or ports 1 and 2 of the Asus P8P67 PRO motherboard.
From the specs for P8P67 PRO -
Intel® P67 Express Chipset
2 xSATA 6.0 Gb/s ports (gray)
Marvell® 9120 controller
2 xSATA 6.0 Gb/s ports (navy blue)*

JMicron® JMB362 SATA controller
2 xExternal SATA 3.0 Gb/s ports*
* These SATA ports are for data hard drives only. ATAPI devices are not supported.
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Motherboards - ASUS P8P67 PRO

No sorry please- happens. :)

Just pointed it out so that someone who might not notice doesn't suffer due to his/her ignorance. :P

If one avoids the 4x SATA 3Gb/s ports as advised, there are still 4x SATA 6Gb/s ports available to you.

Plus i have heard that user will get full/renewed 3 years warranty from the day he/she receives the new motherboard (with the revised chipset) in replacement. :)
