And you will get it around 2k to 2.5k K&N universal filter which can be fitted on to ur karizma with little modifications .....

I aint from Thane.. I'll PM u with his numbers.. His name is Sushil.. and he has a shop in Kalwa.. where he mods bikes as well.. I don't know much about bikes.. but i know he deals in K&N filter as i was planning to get one for my car.

They are like any other Air Filter thats used in vehicles.. The engine 'breathes' thru it. The purpose is to filter out dirt and other foreign particles in the air and prevent them from entering the system and possibly damage the engine.. also inturn helping the fuel efficieny / economy / mileage. K&N Filters are known to be better compared to the stock filters that come with the vehicles...

@OP. If you are going for K&N mod then don't forget to do the proper jetting. without jetting Bike will just breathe more. that's it. no power gain. get it done from some tuner who has installed K&N on zma.

In my location there are many models available. The cheapest is 1.8k, which is jst slightly better than the stock one.

Next one is for ~2.4k which does give some serious performance boost. The best one comes for 4k, which is definitely a good investment. btw as cisco_tech suggested, you need to get the fuel jetting adjusted. more fuel + more air is fruitful, any one of them in excess wont help.
