Ok, a frnd(ex-nokia) went W700i a few weeks back when it launched!!

He is bit unhappy but i cannot rule out User error!!:P
So please throw some light about the W700i on the following issues!!:cool2:
Same issues exist in k750i too??:S

(1) Lack of call log for more than a day or 2!!

so cannot check back on missed or received calls that he intended to save later!!
Also cannot find setting for no of days for call log memory!!

(2) Lack of log for delivery reports!!

He say he gets the alert when delivered but no log anywhere to check back later if the msg was delivered or not!!
So if not checked when delivered, he cannot find out abt it later!!

(3) 32MB onboard, 256 MB card but still msg memory full in few smses!!

He is unable to find the option to move messages to mem card!!
So is not sure of the no of msgs that can be stored in the phone!!
Dunno if he has stumbled across any more issues now!!:rofl:
 
The message memory in sony ericsson phones is not shared by phone or card memory. So irrespective of the amount of free memory you can store 100-200 messages total.
Even on non symbian nokia phones you can store a max of 150.
 
yeah... those arent issues, those are the drawbacks of the SE phones :P

there aren't any delivery reports, all that comes i a little window which shows deliverd, and when u press a key it vanishes :)
 
hmmm dunno abt w700i..but i think i can store well around 200 msgs in my 750i..

where is vince? he can ask his sis and let you know i guess.. ;)

@huntr.. a tick mark? i dont see any tick mark in my sent msgs folder man! .:(... the msgs were sent ya but i dont see any tick marks??

It must be atleast 100 in w700i
my w800i held atleast 180 and my k700 had 100.

Returning to the main topic
how about a nokia 6233 ?
 
ya.. 6233 is a very nice phone... and i would have also adviced it if BD hadn't posted tht SE phone would be preferred :P
 
hi members yesterday had been to my dealer just to check weather nokia n73 or 93 has come in but was dissapointed and even wanted to pick up a s.e k750i or w700i for my cousin the price quoted for k750i was 11.5k with bill and for the w700i-13.5k now the best part he even had a w700i without bill for 13k but the box piece contains a bluetooth headset,this is not given in the indian market :@ so one with bill wont have it so which is a good deal

No idea dude.. she doesnt get a lot of smsses..
 
symbian phones have got shared memory for sms's and so do windows platform phones.... Non symbian phones, have limited sms memory ... :)

Well, if u have a k750 or a w800 which is a CID36 then there is a simple hack available, that lets u store as many sms's depending on the free int memory on the phone, for me it was abt 25mb free so cud store upto 25000 sms'es. :clap:
