Ive got a 2 week old SE K810i and i had uploaded around 800mb of songs onto it earlier...and then today i put 200 mb more...also have around 300 mb of pics so there still is 700mb free on the card. Now the problem is that when i start the media player...at times it doesnt show any of the tracks on the memory card...n on quitting the media player n restartin it, the tracks show up...at other times all the tracks show up but while scrolling suddenly all of them disappear and i can jus see the 4 preinstalled songs on the phone memory...on quitting and restarting the problem is resolved but again while scrolling through the songs the same problem is experienced.
At times in the tracks column only a few tracks are displayed while others are not. Anyone else has experienced this problem? Would it be the M2 card fault or the software of the phone???

Try removing the M2 stick and then load songs in the phone memory, see if you encounter the disappearing problem again.

Updating to latest firmware from Sony Ericsson's Support page may solve the problem.

well... songs do disappear mostly when u have a fake memory stick and the read fails then the song disappear....
just trying the firmware update is what i would suggest

This problem usually happens with SE phones, even happens with my w810, so no need to worry.

Hey guys thanks for the replies and sorry for such a late reply!!!
Well i too suspected a fake memory stick...n the thing is the memory stick doesnt come box packed but the dealer gives it separately. I got mine from Subhiksha so maybe it could be a fake. All SE phones dont have this problem as i had a k750i earlier and used it with a 1gb card but i never had this problem. Will try updating the software. It it still doesnt solve the prob, will the guys at the SE service center replace the memory stick??
Thanks:)

well that is quite fishy...for me i got it box packed both times with k750 and w810...just if possible try to get hands on a temp card for testing purpose..
and usually IMHO it no use trying to get them replace the memory stick bcoz if it was not box packed it was mostly a fake the dealer palmed off to u....

that said doesnt mean that you dont try getting it replaced just that dont pin too much hopes on getting a brand new one...

Well it was box packed but just wasn't in the phone box. It was a sandisk M2 card in the sandisk packaging. I know previously in the K750i and w810i also the card comes in the phone box itself but in this case there was a 128mb card already in the phone and the dealer gave me the 2gb M2 card separately. As far as im aware, accessories also have a 6 month warranty so will try and get it replaced if its the card's problem. Thanks again:hap2:
