@satan194p I agree about Android and software upgrades. Really bad support. My 5230 got soo many software updates with new features and better battery blah blah all the time too. And the CFWs really brought out something great out of a not-so-great OS and weak hardware too.
@paarkhi We can only home. I pray it doesn't end up some unknown Mediatek Dual Core. But then again, if it is then it will be hard for Karbonn to port Jelly Bean to that chipset. TI OMAP makes most sense as it's already been done for the Galaxy Nexus.

On top of that,

TI OMAP 4460 is a 1.2 GHz Dual Core. Used in the Galaxy Nexus, which is clocked at 1.2 GHz too (same chipset).

Incidentally, the Karbonn Smart A24 also has a 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor. I'm hoping and hoping it's the same chipset.

and other small updates i cant remember

and other Cfw like n97 c6 sucked balls compared to the variety we get with andriod - miui, aokp, aosp, cm,other UIs like sony, lg, sense,touchwiz etc

We were comparing the frequency of updates and bugfixes. Good companies like Nokia are able to to provide updates and these small companies are pretty weak on software front.
There are almost no bugfixes and updates.
5233's hardware was pretty weak but bug these bugfixes improved a lot of things( fluidity, battery backup, in V21 video playback shuttery)
These companies fail terribly on software front. Almost no optimisation and almost no bugfixes. That's why we see phones powered by 1ghz proc and descent GPU not capable of HD video recording OOB whereas ancient N8.
Please note- we are not comparing symbian and android. Just the importance of updates from manufacturer

Yup bought it. Too good a deal to pass. Had to buy it. No point waiting anymore. Now just hope that community support picks up! There are threads already. Hopefully it will receive official CM10 support.
 
well the features are like damn good..
but acc to a wise person its better to buy samsung than karbon as it assures quality and service..
spending 13 k on karbon is not so worth i guess..!!
 
Of course its going to be a mediatek chipset! :)

Wishful thinking if you think its going to be TI,QUALCOM or something. A 18 is already out with mtk 6275 chipset.

Its not a bad thing. Software support. Will pick up.as these things sell like hot cakes.
