THIRUVANANTHAPURAM/BANGALORE: "If it had not been (Major) Sandeep's house, not even a dog would have glanced that way."

This was how Kerala chief minister V S Achuthanandan responded on Monday to the family of NSG Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan slain in the Mumbai terror attack during commando operations, igniting a controversy after smarting under the snub from the angry father of the officer when he went to Bangalore to offer his condolences.

The octogenarian CPM leader was turned away from the Bangalore home of Sandeep, a Keralite, on Sunday for what K Unnikrishnan perceived as Kerala government ignoring his son's supreme sacrifice by not making a condolence call in time.

"He (Sandeep's father) says that the Kerala chief minister did not come whereas the Karnataka chief minister came in the morning itself...and that Kerala has ignored him. He got all worked up over this," Achuthanandan told 'Times Now' in Thiruvananthapuram

The chief minister asked "Is there a rule that the chief ministers of Kerala and Karnataka should be there at the same time?

After a pause, the chief minister went on to say "If it had not been Sandeep's house, not even a dog would have glanced that way."

"It is Sandeep's family and that is why we went. A soldier's father should have had the sense to understand that," the chief minister said.

But Sandeep's father said politicians were under "compulsions and duress" to express solidarity with the terror victims in an apparent attempt to get political mileage and "I did not want to respond to them."

Today kerala cm insulted someone which nations respect

Yesterday RR PATIL said a dialogue bada bada sehar main asi choti ghatna hoti rahti hain(in big state small event like this does happen)...plus they came to kill 5000 and we stopped them at 200....see we did our job well

Vilasrao deshmukh....Ratan tata himself wasnt allowed to survey his own property on contrary Vilasrao comes with his actor son who is nowhere near helping anyone plus ramu...who we know makes film on every issue related to terror.....is this the time to make a movie???

Today first time i saw womens from elite(rich class)...coming on roads together to protest...and asking when will ordinary indian will get Z security..

At that time today Muktar abbas naqvi(bjp spokesperson) says...."from where does this lipstick powder beauties come and say polticans are of no use....their is someone who are sending ppl to bring a bad image to politicans....and a report on this need to be get on it"...he himself remain busy writing scripts for movie (corporate etc)rather than helping ppl ...who the hell is he to ask..ppl shdnt say bad abt them(politicians)

Now hell with all this politician.....i really dont know whom to vote in coming elections
 
Add to that what Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has to say about people protesting against terror attacks:

People protesting against political apathy during the Mumbai terror attack are no better than terrorists. That’s what BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said.

"Some women wearing lipstick and powder have taken to streets in Mumbai and are abusing politicians spreading dissatisfaction against democracy. This is what terrorists are doing in Jammu and Kashmir," said Naqvi, the party’s national vice-president.

meh, he's a cranky old man who gives long winded speeches. guess he's a prick too. just confirms what I've always felt. communism is a great idea, pity all commie politicians are such A h0les
 
guys u have to forgive the old man.He was a tailor before he found out that he could not make a living out of that profession.So what did he do ?.He joined a mafiosi party called the cpi(m) and now he is the chief minister.
As regards to the house to which he remarked a dog also will not look well it was built by honest money and not by ripping people off or robbing the central govt funds.what can i say?.loads to say but leave it there is no use.

I respect the slain martyr's dad's words.

But he did say those words, " Had not been for that martyr's home, not even a dog'd have turned up!!" How sadistic and mean. :(
 
NRK's - let them live .why in the first place ,CM achyuth aanandan went there?Their party sleeps with Chinese commies publicly.

Raktha Saakshi Sandeep's father will be in great sorrow that words cant express as is with proud parents of Jawan's.and this arrogant kerala CM got no other work? :x
 
I understand what the old man did, atm he is acting emotionally.

But the politican's response thereafter is beyond belief. I wonder if word gets out whether this will result in his undoing.
 
Politicians have absolutely nothing to fear due to bad PR if they have safe vote banks. This is why they can get away with such statements.

Yes indeed - they would definitely fear their votebanks and be on their best behaviour with them, but the rest are fair game.
 
Communism is better left in past. We wont be having this conversation here if that was not the case.

ABout this incident. Saw this on TV, the Kerela CM should atleast have heart to understand what this man has gone through. CM made the statement purely because his ego got hurt and nothing more. When thats the case he should understand what this man has lost and atleast apologize.

They very well know that Indian Politics run by Money & not by OUR VOTE ONLY.

Review current situation Which Party Get MAJORITY in Parliament... none... our PM can not do what he suppose to do, President is just for President.... this list is too long.

So again I request to all VOTE TO RIGHT CANDIDATE & IF YOU FIND NO ONE IS CAPABLE THAN SIMPLY CANCELED YOUR VOTE BUT MUST GO FOR VOTE.
 
I saw a nice comment on another site which said something like "When that idiot CM drops dead even dogs won't attend his funeral"
