Keyboard for Gaming

Hey guys, please suggest a good keyboard for gaming(racing + fps only). G15 is out of contention coz of bad reviews, and G11 i think still hasn't hit the Indian market i think.. Budget is a secondary issue.
P.S: Should be available in India
 
If you want to go overboard get the Razer Tarantula for 6k :P

Or get the Samsung Pleomax for a couple 100 bucks

I would suggest trying out both keyboards at stores and decide which would be best for you.
 
Haha, had a bad experience with it guess.

Anyways the Tarantula is the only other suggestion I can give so far, it boasts of fast response times.
 
There was a thread on a new rzer stall opened at CROMA Mumbai, dunno where the hell is that sorry :/

Also if you are a lot into racing games you also might want to consider a wheel for about 4-5k? Logitech Momo etc
 
i bought the momo, used it for 2 days n packed it :|

am playing carbon at wcg this year.. so bought one, n then i find out that momo is not particularly good for carbon, n i couldn't get used to a gamepad..

last option -> gaming keyboard :(
 
sathya, any keyboard is a "gaming keyboard" if you can make it work for you... a gaming keyboard isn't a substitute for skill, so don't assume you'd play well by spending 5k on a keyboard ;)

^ Exactly !

Even a 1k rupee MS keyboard will do great. Anything that has good tactile response, a palm rest and well spaced layout is more than enough for any sort of use ;)

True. :P
but i heard the response times on certain "gaming" keyboards are lesser than the standard keyboards..
btw i'm using a microsoft basic keyboard, the layout isn't all that great..
so thought i could do better with a gaming grade keyboard :D

May I add, Big No to Wheel if you're going to play NFS.. BIG Yes! if you play GTR2, Live For Speed, Richard Burns Rally, rFactor, etc.

Bleh, that is all marketing hype... most of it depends on the player, you really think a fraction of second in response time will make you win? I'd think not.

Instead of spending 5k and figuring out if you like the keyboard, you'd rather spend 300 bucks on the Samsung Pleomax to see if it works out... if it doesn't, you lose 300 bucks not 5k ;)
