I'm facing a strange problem with my Toshibha satellite notebook.

When I enter any alphabet it is displayed in capital letters even though CAPS LOCK key is set to off.

When I press CAPS LOCK key and set it to ON then alphabets are displayed in capital letters.

When I press ".", ">" is displayed.

I am unable to use the laptop because of this issue.

Is there any way to resolve this problem?

^^Lol pal. You should have realised by yourself.

Remove the shift key n place it back in or just hit it hard 2 or 3 times.

Should work.

Best of Luck.

It might be a problem with the keyboard controller.Just to make sure connect an external keyboard and see if the problem persists.
Second when the system boots up is there any message at the startup saying Key 3A stuck ?.
I faced the same problem and the laptop is kaput.

I used an external keyboard and the issue persists. When I select an icon on the desktop or control panel, all of them are getting selected.

Just give it a good spanking, it should free itself! :D

Otherwise, you can disable the shift key completely by many freewares available online.
