buying a 5070 ti at this price is honestly a no brainer

I would keep checking every hour if I were you, the prices for 5070 ti is insane
you mean good price in current market and now competitive with 9070xt.
If they give volume then this might pressure on 9070xt, or not since it might be for limited time.

70ti category cards used to be cheaper, and these days gpu makers label as they want and call a 60 card a 70 card and so on.
Still, good price looking at whats available today.

I am a little out of touch with Gpu prices these days, are any of these genuinely good deal for someone who has a 3080 Ti?
I have a 3080, 9070xt is 40% faster than 3080 and 5070ti is a few percent faster than that. Both with 16gb vram.
3080ti i think is 10-12% faster than 3080, maybe around 30% faster for you.

I have no interest in either right now. Too much hassle for smallish gains.
Vram could help if you want to play latest games, but even 16gb seems too tight to me and buying that will be making same mistake as 10gb 3080.

Couldn't find any discounts on GPU's
the official gigabyte rep said that pricing will be updated by tomorrow on this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianGaming/s/JsiWqriPWI

I see an update:
"We've noticed that the GPU price list shared earlier mentions prices without GST**—this was an oversight from our design team, and we sincerely apologize for the confusion. We’re currently discussing internally how best to address this, including potential adjustments to ensure fairness. Thanks for bearing with us while we sort this out—we’ll update soon with more clarity.""

meh, as long as price differences are only 25% or below between AMD/NVIDIA, then Nvidia cards for me take the edge, and almost similar to AMD? its a no brainer for me. Nvidia has a lot of stuff than just DLSS/FG that peeps are sleeping on.

yeah ok, not gonna have that same argument but yes Nvidia gets a premium. Thats why i said that if prices are real at volume then 9070xt will feel pressure.

But this series has multiple issues. I think 70ti reaches around 300w for RT workloads, so risk might be lower but it probably still has some risks around connector burning up eventually. 4080 also had some cases of this.
Then multiple reported driver issues, perhaps fixed dunno.
And look at this shit

Combined with often bad warranty service in India, fk you to this series from me.
My advice will be to run things undervolted and with reduced power limits from stock if going for it. You dont lose too much perf and temps are much better.
The power circuit issue above, you wont even see as there are no senors for that.

Anyway .. prices were fake :)

Nothing less than a 5080 of your choice
5080 with 16 gigs of VRAM is hard to place between 5070 ti and 5090, given you can push your 5070 ti to near stock 5080 performance. I would wait for the super series cards.

Yup agree with this my 5070 ti pulls 190W undervolted with 1-2% loss in performance.

They even removed the hotspot sensor :) Best to be safe.
I would think that with some workloads it will go much higher than 190w, thats what i remember at stock in reviews. Some games had low 200w power usage and some reached 300w, esp RT stuff i think.
From experience with couple of other gpus ( so limited sample), we can get away with 15-30% lower PL for get 0-10% loss of performance roughly.

Then increase fan speeds vs stocks and get very lower temps. Fans can be easily replaced.
