Haven't tried the MP for KZ2, as I hate FPS games, but I played this with ample amount of breaks ;)

Not as hard as it seems to be. Once you get the hang of it, there's nothing stopping you. KZ2 was epic, period. One of the best I have played for the console.
 
I have Played COD:MW on PC, FarCry2 on PS3, Crysis on PC, but have to agree, that KZ2 had some awesome Gun Fight's and the feeling of a Gun been fired was authentic and different from other shooters :P
 
KZ2 was great, but honestly, I liked Medal of Honor (Afghanistan) & CoD: Black Ops better.

Can't wait for KZ3. Do we have a relase date? The video link from above doesn't seem to be working.

and reason the vid in the 1st post got removed was for official reasons. That vid was a leaked unofficially.
 
Killzone 2 was nothing special except the beautiful graphics. I played KZ2 for 4 levels and got bored Coz :

1) too generous with health and guns (Trooper level),

2) too much help with your objectives.

3) tacky controls.

4) boring generic story.

Even though, the game gets fantastic during the battles with the Helgans because of the amazing enemy AI, the momentum of the game wears down quickly because of the insipid storyline. And you won't care whether it's Garza, Natko, Rico fighting alongside you. They are quite annoying IMO. I have began to respect COD series more after this game.
 
If you can get set piece battles every 20 mins the game gets very exciting.

Regarding, 1 , yes COD has ubiquitous weapons but most of them are what you collect from fallen enemies. Here, the weapon stack is present at every 2 mins you walk which was little annoying. Regarding health, i still feel it is too much generous than COD.

2) COD gives you adequate info on your objectives but not overdose it.

3) Yea, i think i need to practice and be patient. Going to controller for FPS from KB-Mouse is difficult.

They should have made some interesting story so that the flaws can be overlooked. COD has many flaws, but the intensity and pace of the story was such that we overlook all of it. In COD, you are always on the edge of your seat which is what a great shooter should be.

Also, the voice acting in KZ2 is terrible.

Thanks very much Ethan Hunt :)

I got it in Diwali but I didn't want to make a show off. :P Currently playing God of War collection. God of War is the reason i bought a PS3.
 
^Awesome! You'll realise that a lot of other exclusives are also the reason you got it. It was initially MGS4 for me. :P

Uncharted, GOW, Heavy Rain et al followed later.
 
MGS4 was way over my league. Just buying mgs4 is worthless unless you play the previous sequels. So it wouldn't count as a reason for buying the ps3 for players who haven't played mgs earlier.

You and me are very much alike. I got my PS2 to play God of War and had vowed to get the PS3 the day GOW III came out, and I did. Enjoy the console world man and don't forget to bump up the God of War III thread once you start playing. :D

You wouldn't appreciate it since you haven't played the previous titles, so that's perfectly fine. But for the ones that did, this is a fine title crafted with a brilliant storyline and so much detail that you'd feel it more like a movie.

i would not say that , do a proper research before you play the game, i did, i knew all the major plots before i played the game,

I knew the basic story, i knew the time line, i knew about the previous games stories ( almost ).

in all after playing MGS i could easily say that i have played (if not the best ) one of the greatest games in History. lol, i liked it too much to say more!
