Great deals OP , The battery issue with kindle is likely due to book indexing , if you put your own or even buy a bunch of new books on the kindle it will consume battery because of indexing on the background for deep search function , I have the same kindle and it lasts around 30 days with daily usage . GLWS

Thanks. Yeah this makes sense. I always wondered why is it so? Based on my experience the battery backup on idle is great but on daily usage it has not lasted more than 15-16 days.
