Kodak v603 problem

hi,
My kodak v603 camera is switching on only when it is kept for charging.Even it is switched on while charging,it switches off as soon as the charger is disconnected.
Is it only the battery problem or there could be any other reason?
The camera is 2 year old.
 
^^ That seems to be the most likely explanation... Try with some other battery, if someone has it.. or go to the service centre and get it checked..!
 
I stay in bangalore and i was given an address of service center.i went there after lot of difficulty to find that it never exsited:mad:
i want to be sure before i buy a battery that,it is the sole problem i have..
