Hello All,

I am off to Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta this week. 3 Days in Jakarta and 2 full days in Kuala Lumpur. Staying around Little India in KL.

Any sightseeing/must-watch stuff in both these cities?

Till now all I have in my list is Little India, Petronas Tower and KL Tower :)

I am not planning to shop, so can look into some malls just from a window shopping perspective, not a major focus :) Just want to go look around the cities.

All recommendations welcome.

I have just moved to KL and staying at Brickfields ( Little India )
There is not much to see in Little India apart from the Indian-Tamil flavour all around

Places to see in Brickfields (there could be other places which i dont know)
Midvalley mall
KL Sentral
Sooka Sentral
Bird Sanctuary

Other places to visit
KLCC - Petronas
Lowyat plaza and IMBi Plaza @ station IMBI - Our IT Heaven
Batu Caves
Bukhet Pintang ( plenty of glitz and glamour - loaded with malls)

There could be plenty more places, but this is what i know so far :P

Thanks for the reply :)

Will skip Batu caves (distance). Will try out the other places.

Batu Caves is actually quick to reach by train

From KL Sentral, its just 15 mins by train (KTM Kommuter)

In Indian traveling terms, 15 mins is nothing

Agreed on reachability. Only thing is, the size of the complex itself form what I read is quite vast. More like half a day job? Or do you think I can cover it quicker? May go for it if I have time on my hands (not likely).

Trust me, there is not much to see there, unless u want to go for trekking

Max 1 hour, for visiting the temples there. Its a very small compound.

Taman Safari in Indonesia is a MUST. rent a car and go there since inside the safari you must be inside a car. Another day you can go to Bandung for volcanoes, or Ancol for some esselworld kinda amusement park.

From KL, go to Genting, Awesome hill station, hardly 100KMs and easily connected.

i do agree wid sunny.. do visit genting instead.. loads of fun..

n lamer.. when r u visiting pune.. its been so long.. :P
