Guys,
Planning to get a new cabby.. Preferables are Lancool Dragonlord PC-K62 and CM 690 II Advanced..
Please suggest something really better with respect to Air flow..
CM costs 5.4k whereas Dragonlord costs 6.8k..Is it worth the xtra bucks u pay for Lancool over the CM ??
Budget is max 7k.
Thanks in Advance:)

Well,Lancool comes with all the fans pre installed.

when it comes to case i prefer my own view on the way they look.

i will suggest you to have a look at both of them in person & then decide. :)

I had the same confusion a few weeks ago. Even though I got the CM 690 II advance and I like the features , many people insisted on the Lancool K62 which did not fit in my budget.

But I can tell you about the CM 690 II advanced is awesome case for modding. Absolute silence(I mean it) + Great amount of space + Awesome HDD cages (Love these very much ) . This case is worth every penny you pay for it.

Watch some youtube videos on CM690 II Advanced review. It's got detailed info.

Yes, true. But ppl says build quality of Lancool is way better than CM. Hence the thread..

Also, personally , I dont think ders much difference between air flow in dese two cabby..

Nyways, will wait for more posts b4 ending up with something:)

If you want a Cosmetically good looking and build quality wise CABBY go for LANCOOL DRAGONLORD K62 or HAF922 if your budget is 7k(both have amazing air flow and considerable modding options). If you want a better flow and modding (as you spoke to me in d noon) go ahead with CM690 II Advanced (Value for money product).

IF you feel like changing cases every 2-3 years, get the cheaper case. Else get the Lancool. Its a very sturdy and heavy case.

^^ I don't know why people think of heavy as a positive point. Plus the front and top panels are incredibly flimsy so I don't know how people keep calling them sturdy. The only truly winning attribute in the Lancool cases is the clamps for expansion cards.

I don't know about the CM case but I definitely regret wasting money on my PC-K58.

I found the Lancool K62 to be lot better in terms of build quality, cable management ,over all finish and small small things which go unnoticed. Like the front filters for the fans is much more effective in the K62 and it can be washed as well . Dunno about the new 690 but my old ver1. CM690's spongy air filters started wearing off in 3-4 months time. Also the small locks for top panel were so fragile , Ive already got 3-4 of them broken :| The front and top metal mesh has started rusting in the corners as well :(. When I had first got my CM690 I was in love with it but after checking out the LanCool , and Lian Li cabinet I decided I wouldn't invest in any CM cabinet ever. Just my opinion , no offense meant to anyone else.

I personally own a K62 and a CM 690. Believe me 690 looks like a cheap shot infront of lian li counterpart. You just can't compare the finish and the goodness of K62 with something from the likes of 690. Can't comment on the 690 II but I don't think it would matter.

Lancool K-62 is the best Cabby which Lian-LI offers at best value.

If you want something similar, then check out the K-60 it is also the same but w/out LED fans and All black interiors.

For the price it is costly over CM 690 but for the quality and the build you really cant go wrong with the K-62, it is the best I have seen.

I know it is heavy(9.5kg) but it is the best.

Even I am waiting to get one for myself.

Both cases weigh about the same so dont think that matters , the K62 does seem to have a few more features and comes with led fans , 140mm and all fans , you dont have to buy anything also side window. So it seems well worth the price.

I have seen K62 personally before buying NZXT Tempest. K62 is truely tool less & very well built but had few flaws. First, window pane looked filmsy & will develop cracks with a slight abuse.second thing I felt was that you don't have much space left after adding 5870 or big graphics card in K62 & the last can accomodate only 4 HDD's.
Lancool is made of steel & not aluminium so it will definitely have the same fate as CM690 but K62 owners can tell more about the decoloration or rust etc.

Between 690II, k-62 and NZXT tempest EVO?

Tempest takes the first preference. Lot of vents/options for cooling, comes with all the necessary fans, more depth and lot of space from the PCI bracket to the HDD cages. Room enough to mount large pci cards and to mount a lot of hard drives (and comes with removable HDD cages). Tempest is a large case (larger than k62?) and probably the last mid-size case an end user would require. I am not saying K62 is a bad case, I am simply pointing out that NZXT did a good job for that price for a large mid size case that can even house an E-ATX without any hiccups. Anything bigger you go with full towers like antec 1200 and what not. I've helped to build systems with NZXT gamma, CM 690, tempest and tempest EVO & helped a friend to purchase a k62, I'll choose tempest evo out of these options. When 690 was new they marketed as being tooless, but that ended up being plastic so I preferred using the screws. Then the front vents started to rust out. The fans turned out to be useless in long term so I am sure many changed it. CM 690 shouldn't be on the same desk with lian li and NZXT if you ask me.

IMO right comparison should be CM HAF922 with tempest EVO.

No offense but I think the CM 690 II Advanced is well worthy to stand right beside NZXT tempest. :)

Did get the CM690 II advanced after comparing it to Tempest evo. Didn't actually love the Straight HDD cages and the 6 fans are quite loud .

NZXT tempest sure does look the best outa the lot though.

My votes for K-62.

Wanted to add one more thing. When I purchased a case a month ago, I was in the same dilemma and when I searched online comparing these 3 cases EVO,CM 690 II ,K62. Every single person suggested the K62,sadly I did not have the money to afford it. So I got the CM690 II adv.
