Mac gurus please enlighten me on MACBOOKS, models & price....

I was just checking out for laptops in same budget and found the Lenovo G580 has a killer config in this price range , but what i would like to know is how good is their service reputation

Don't know Im still unable to decide! How much of a difference is there between i3 & i5? Was thinking maybe I should save money by going in for a i3!

Depends on your requirements. Majority go for i5 just due to "5", not that they need.

Well my requirements are home based primarily. Entertainment, light work, movies, Internet....

How much of a difference does i5 make because price difference is big, in the tune of ~ 10-12k.

I've kind of over-hauled my requirements, which now read as:

ULTRABOOK, SLEEKBOOK

Screen size - 11.5" to 14".

SSD - 32 to 64GB for faster start-ups.

No Optical drive.

i3 processor would suffice.

Good battery backup

The thing should not get too hot while operating.

Inclined towards HP, Sony, Acer.


Now please suggest a suitable solution...
