Hi All,

Recently i tried to upgrade my BIOS from flash utility available at laptop start up. After flashing successfully system restarted but never turned ON again. Now nothing is working, the thing is completely dead, no power lights no HDD lights nothing.

Laptop: ASUS K53SV
OUT OF WARRANTY :(

Can this thing be repaired or i am left with a 2kg paperweight ??

Thanks

Speak with asus service center. though they will charge money, yet they will be able to fix it (either by reprogramming the chip or by replacing it)

Disconnect the Laptop Battery & CMOS battery and then try to boot using AC power.
Try the usual stuff; removing RAM modules, removing HDD, etc.

Thanks for replying guys.

Have already tried the usual things nothing worked.

Will contact ASUS service, lets see what they say.

iCore motherboards will have two bios (most of the mother boards) one for i/o controller and other for vga bios if it is completely dead it will be i/o bios which is corrupted, if you have bios programmer you can do bios flashing
