Laptops Laptop (Dell & HP) charger not working.... URGENT

Hi everyone

Chargers for my HP Pavilion Dv9339us laptop (90 watt) and Dell Inspiron 1410 went kaput due to a power surge I guess. There was some smell coming out of it.

What do you guys suggest. Should I buy original chargers (HP was around 2700) or replacement pieces (HP - around 1500)

Have no idea about the dell. Where should I contact about their repair or replacement. Kindly advise.

P.S. None are under warranty.
 
Well if you have complete cover warranty in Dell you can get a new one from them. Don't know about HP.

But if you don't then you will have to get a new one from the respective sellers. I heard Dell charges anywhere between 5500-6500 for a new battery!
