Laptop for 30-42k budget

Going to buy a laptop.

need suggestions

my req are:
core i5
4gb ram
640gb + hdd
good battery life (above 5 hrs)
doesnt really need graphics card.
usb 3,wifi n
chiclet keyboard

experts pls give me advice

i checked the lenovo z570.
everything is awesome except USB3 connection.
Are they planning to introduce usb 3 in it ?
I also want to know ay other cons of z570 if you like to share...;-)

Also any feedback about thoshiba c640-x4012 model ??

good processor (core i5 )

You haven't answered the question about your needs though. How can people recommend you something when then dont know what it is going to be used for!
 
Among these Z570 seems to be the best choice overall. It is very well-built and good looking too, but it is on the heavier side. Acer TimelineX build quality is decent and it looks sleek, and I suppose its battery life will be better. Toshiba will seem VFM specification-wise, but in the long term not worthy as its build quality is nowhere near the other two. Buy it only if you are strictly on budget.

My needs are:
high performance CPU - core i5 or better
ram -3gb+
hdd -500gb+
screen - 15"+
weight - less than 2.7kg
Battery life - 5hrs+
wifi n + bluetooth
OS - not required.
A bit future proof if possible (USB 3,card readers,chiclet keyboard etc)

will have a lot of encoding work with it.
doesnt need much gaming potential(i only play trackmania with it ).
Will be using linux mainly. so need driver support.
 
I have a 5830Tg. Since it belongs to Timeline series, it has a long battery life compared to others. Also, its graphics card is better than that of Dell, i.e. 540M vs 525M.

Aspire TimelineX AS5830TG VS lenovo z570 [takedown]

Does anyone here used Aspire TimelineX AS5830TG or lenovo z570..

Please share your experience.(pros and cons)

The models i am talking about is

lenovo : IdeaPad Z570 59-304317 Lenovo - Laptop computers - IdeaPad - Z Series - India(IN)

If possible some one compare spec by spec on these two models

and about the support they offers..

battery life is around 3-4 hours during active usage. i was using it to install drivers, create and restore image and other installation tasks, which i think require active hard disk usage. In a day or two, i'll observe and comment on the battery life while doing every day tasks like surfing.
