Laptop for HD Playback

Hi Guys,

I am looking to buy a laptop with the following requirements:

- Browsing a lot
- Watching HD videos online
- HD MKV 720p and 1080p Smooth Playback
- No Gaming so budget as less as possible

I have zeroed in on three models:

1. HP G62

2. Dell Inspiron 15R

I am getting a discount of £25 here, so it costs me £475.
Core i3 350, 3GB RAM, 320GB

3. Same as the Dell but with Pentium P6000, 2GB, 250GB which costs me £430

All the above laptops come with 15.6" LED screens and Arrandale's HD graphics.

What i am confused about is
- how much is the performance difference between the P6000 and the Core i3?
- Will the P6000 be able to drive full HD?
- I want the cheapest laptop which can provide me full HD playback without lags. Does the new Intel HD provide smooth full HD playback?
- Was the Intel T4500 proccy with 4500MHD graphics not able to do so?
- Is it worth taking 3 years warranty? Hows the failure rate in Dell/HP?

Please help me out guys...

Intel i3 + integrated graphics doesn't supports true 24fps playback. Go for a ATI card (4xxx/5xxx) series based solution if you want true 1080/24 playback.

I have a P6000 laptop, the only difference with i3 is speed frequency , as its 1.87 mhz and i3 is 2.13 (330m) and it dont support turbo boost. same cache and same inbuilt graphics and every feature supported in hm55 epress mainboard, n it plays HD movies real smooth and totally cool temperature is always ~50 degree celcius, never seen more then 52 yet in last 2 months. Its the perfe3ct cpu a laptop can get for lot of usage 24/7.
