Laptops Laptop getting switched OFF on installing OS

Hi ,
yesterday my friend accidently deleted the restore partition, from my HP laptop.
Now, whenever i try installing any OS on it (from some CD), it switches OFF, in between the installation. Now i have nothing on my laptop and can't install any OS as well.

How can i resolve this? please help.

im guessing his signature mentions abt the config part....

what i would like to know is , does it shut down at the 'same' part each time ? or different areas......if its just at random at different areas....ur laptop is 'overheating' during installation and hence shutting off......let the laptop cool down completely, remove the battery, run on ac power in a proper ventilated area and post results.
