Can someone plz update me about the latest price for DDR2 800Mhz RAM
Brands:-
Corsair
Kingston
Transcend
Both for 1GB as well as 2GB sticks.

Yes, I am sure, I am quoting the price of DDR2 RAM.

Edit: I too think, the prices are high nowadays.
 
the 2gb stich of trancend costs 1850 at nageshwar(lamington road) asked other stores also same price range
Corsair not available in mumbai(atleast the value select) and dominator cost 5200 for the twin pack of 2gb
Kingston is also in the same price range
All other memory prices are increasing (God knows why)
 
Can someone spell out ddr 3 price if its lower than this than surely ddr 2 production has been stopped to promote it

if is always a direct function of demand and supply
DRAMeXchange reported that the prices of Dram module in the near several weeks will rise by 10-15%.

The most important producer of memory chips , Powerchip and Elpida, ended deliveries of their production due to its over-saturation, in consequence, the increased demand arose. Soon this will increase the price of 1- Gbit DDR2 chips to $1,5 already during June.

According to the estimation Of dRAMeXchange the contract prices of DRAM memory will also increase from $8-8,5 1 GB in the past month prior to $9-10. However, some producers attempt to work with higher price $12-13.

A increase in the demand for memory arose also due to the good sales level of finished PC.

DDRII and DDRIII cross over. In few weeks time the DDRIII will be cheaper than the DDRII just in time for intel's new LGA-1156 socket processors corei-3's which is intented to be replacements for the E7xxx series scheduled for launch in Q4,09.
 
bits its almost 100% not 15% as your article mentions.....Last i got my ddr 2 2gb was 1450 i guess...and within few days was getting same ram for 1250..from there its now 2k plus....
 
:O RAM going up the ladder rapidly , people who got DDR2 RAM chips about 3-4-6 months and if upgrading can now sell the RAM for the same price they got it for :)

ANd what do they get than???ddr 3 still higher than it no point selling now...ddr3 getting cheaper and going for major upgrade than it makes point i guess
