Crawford market
These products come in lots and once they get sold out, they disappear from the market... :(

I tried getting it sometime back (after I had purchased mine) but it was not available. Crawford Market, Musafirkhana is market trend based. Once new products come in, the old ones disappear!! :(

@ OP: I have one for sale in the Member's Market but Shipping to Kolkata is not an option!!

Arrey i dont want a used one :( And in kolkata its too costly for a lamp.. 950 bucks :s thats why i was looking for one in mumbai or something .. :((

Even I would be interested in getting a Lava Lamp at Bangalore. Anyone knows of shops here selling Lava Lamps ?

I remember earlier TE had a thread on Lava lamps where someone had gotten some from a shop near Angethi/Raheja Arcade, Koramangala. I did some looking around, but couldn't find any shops selling Lava Lamps.

If these are availabe online for a decent price, wouldn't mind buying them that way too.

There are quiet a few qualities available for Lava lamps. The cheap ones don't work. Also, winter is the worst time of the year to buy lava lamps... One cannot judge the lava flow properly due to low temperatures.

If you plan to buy it from ebay, please ask the seller to upload actual pictures of the lamp. The cheap ones have unclear glass and the good quality ones have sharp clear glass. Also, the lave must have solidified at the base in one solid lump and must not have been fragmented into pieces.

I had purchased 3 of these lamps. The cheap ones (~300 rupees) never worked properly. The expensive one (650/-) was superb and still works great, though I don't use it much due to space constraints on my desk!

Can vouch for the bad quality of the cheap one

^^ So the bad quality one that you had worked? Mine never worked! The wax melted and then it went to the top. After that, it simply refused to come down!! It just stuck to the top of the glass!

I kept it on for 8 hours and in those 8 hours, the wax came down for about 5 times (i guess)!!! I was like, is this a Lava lamp or an anti gravity lava lamp?!?!

Now its the same case as yours (last I tried was a year or so ago)

Last I check, Alfa does not keep the lava lamps, they have those glitter ones.
<

^^ Absolutely! And those glitter lamps look girly... worse, they look gay!

Sparkle in Bandra has one or two lava lamps. But the last time my friend asked them, they quoted 1300!!
