Yes, these are the real differences that matter. Other than that, the display technology is essentially the same unless you consider the highest end LED's with Local dimming. But, for normal home use, an LCD will be as good as an LED. If you are tight on budget, going for a higher series LCD makes more sense than a lower end LED. Else, you can go for a decent LED - the thin panel definitely adds class to your room!
