Leaked OnePlus 5T render shows 6-inch 18:9 display

I doubt this gonna happen anytime soon, Just coz it's out of stock in US it does not mean they are coming up with that T model reason they don't have much to upgrade on the 5 what will they put in there 2 SD 835's, 4000mh battery....?

In my view, it is not about support as OnePlus is good in regular updates. But look at the price asked by oneplus, it is a flagship in itself instead of a flagship killer. Now, who ever buys a flagship feels cheated if another flagship from same brand appears within 5-6 months. Oneplus is providing only incremental updates with each flagship. This way, slowly the brand loses it's appeal and loyalty.
 
I personally feel OnePlus will launch a better OPO 6 in Feb/Mar 2018, this 5T is unnecessary as the update is very minimal. They should preferably launch when there is a decent processor update, if not it won't sell great on the market. The issue is OPO is trying hard to compete with the flagships and most of the flagships launch their best ones in Q3/Q4 of the year. while OPO usually launches early (Q2)..thus it wants to compete by launching another small upgraded versions in Q4. If they could fix their launch period, they could earn very good profits. OPO is not doing bad when it comes to sales, so it's definitely an emerging brand.

What does this mean in practice? For e.g., with WhatsApp this can only used if you have 2 SIMs ? In that case will both instances of WhatsApp be active?

On what happens to OnePlus 5 with OnePlus 5T launch. Why did the company launch a new upgrade so soon with a bigger display?

If you look at our previous phone, the OnePlus 3T the last batch was sold out during Diwali and now the product will be discontinued. The same goes for the OnePlus 5, which will also be sold out in sometime, and we’ll have only one product OnePlus 5T in the market. As a brand we want to make sure there is one device which is the latest, and the previous devices are usually sold out once the new product launches.

Yes, some fans and users will be disappointed. See ideally we would like to make everyone happy, but that’s not possible. Six months back OnePlus 5 was the best possible device in the market. Since then many phones have come which are offering similar, if not better specifications. So as a company which focuses on premium segment, we need to make sure our phones compete with the current available flagships in the market. The OnePlus 5T will do just that, and given this is an extension of the current product line, there was no need for us to raise the price.
