Last night there was very high voltage so i turned off my pc but my monitor ST2320l was plugged directly to the switch which i forgot about and now it is not working

The problem that the little led indicator is working but the screen doesnt show anything and also the touch controls also dont work
Does anyone know what might high voltage have done to it and how it could be fixed ??

Its about two years old so its out of warranty
 
dell monitors have 3 years warranty i think. probably some caps or diode might have burnt inside the power regulator. you might have to get a new inverter for the lcd, or in worst case, a new monitor.
try to rma it if you have a bill.
 
Everywhere i checked it says 1 year warranty on my model
Who should i contact ?? I went to dell website but it asks for a service tage no. which i m unable to find on the monitor
 
ST range is the studio monitor range and they have 3 years warranty.

The service tag is on backside of monitor.
Check your warranty using the service tag in warranty checker. If its in warranty, call their helpline (no is on top in their website).

search on the bill given by dell for order no. sometimes its used for rma too.
 
I am pretty sure about the warranty but ill check again
I have been to the link you posted before but the problem is i cant find the service tag all i see is a serial no.
 
I was never been able to find Service Tag or Express Service Code for my dell led monitor. Behind it there is a white sticker but it is way too big......more than 14chars. So dont know what exactly to input on their website to check warranty. Unlike WD or ST, dell should had specified an demo screenshot for its users.
 
I am facing the same problem here there is no sticker on he back saying service tag
I think that the panel is gone kaput becoz if there was some problem with the psu of the monito the little led indicator wouldnt be switching on , what do you people think should i just buy a new one??
 
RMA = Return Material Authorisation
Means its a number or code for returning a product to the company in return for a new working product.
Just call dell on their toll free number and ask them how to find the service tag on monitor.

Have you tried to run it on another computer? If it does not switch on then its faulty.

i have two pcs i tried on both in any case the screen is just blank if there was some problem with the connection it would have shown that
 
Service tag is not available on all monitors. my Dell monitor doesn't have any service tag.I asked the Dell CC, they said that warranty will be provided based on bill.
