Are any of u guys facing this issue with L4D2? Pls specify if u are playing the original version or the ahem one.....

Ive got the ahem one and was able to play the single player campaign for sometime but now when i launch the game its crashes to the desktop at the loading screen with no error messages.

Im willing to buy the original provided the original doesnt come with these issues? Pls pour in ur experiences with this game.
 
^Happens to me with the original also . You just have to verify integrity of game cache and defragment files and it will all be fine :D .
 
i think this problem is with many and it is coz of the nvidia drivers i guess coz iam also facing a similar problem

for me the game freezes when u see the server info(server info when u press H that info comes and sometimes if i press enter or ok the game freezes but if i wait a bit like 10-20 sec it doesnt)

i guess its the drivers so try different set of drivers or do a new install of latest drivers

How to we verify the integrity of the game cache. It also happens to me. Also once the game is launched -- it takes days to get to the selection of multi-player or single player. Sometimes it asks for some 'steam' thingy...and a message box is stuck there. So I got to minimize it, click on that message box, and maximize it again. Also the game does suddenly bomb out.

Well I am using the 'ahem' version. If advice is prohibited, no issues....how to resolve all this.
 
the game used to freeze for few secs on my system and then it would get auto recovered but i didnt encountered ant crash.i used the 191.xx drivers.
