Lenovo has launched a slew of new products at IFA electronics show in Berlin including two new Yoga 2 Pro convertibles, ThinkPad Yoga laptop and Flex 14 and Flex 15 laptops.
Yoga 2 Pro
The Yoga 2 Pro is the successor to the Yoga notebook and comes with a 13.3 inch QHD+ super high resolution display of 3200x1800 pixels, making it highest resolution laptop in market. It just 15.5mm thin and weighs just 1.39kg.
The USP of Yoga series is that it can be used in different modes : laptop, tablet, stand and tent. Additionally, Yoga 2 Pro comes with apps created especially for its four modes.
Under the hood, the Yoga 2 Pro will have up to 4th Gen Intel Core i7 ULT processor, up to 512GB SSD and Windows 8.1 OS. It will have up to 9 hours of battery life.
ThinkPad Yoga
the ThinkPad Yoga is business series Yoga notebook from Lenovo. It comes with a 12.5 inch touchscreen with Gorilla Glass and 1920x1080 pixels resolution. The body of ThinkPad Yoga is crafted with rugged magnesium alloy shell.
The ThinkPad Yoga features a unique lift and lock system created for tablet mode. The system automatically lifts and locks the keys on the machine’s keyboard in place for a streamlined feel.
The ThinkPad Yoga will offer choice of processors up to 4th gen Intel Core I7 and up to 1TB storage with Windows 8.1 OS.
Lenovo Flex 14 and Flex 15 -
The Flex 14 and Flex 15 also come with touchscreen displays in 14.1 inch and 15.6 inch sizes. The displays can be turned back to use it in stand mode, but unlike Yoga series, it cannot be used in tablet mode. The screen can be only rotated till 300 degrees.
It will have HD or optional Full HD 1920x1080 displays with 10 point multi-touch, up to 4th-gen Core i7 processor, up to Nvidia GT740M graphics and up to 1TB HDD and optional SSD storage.
Pricing and Availability -
MSRP for the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, ThinkPad Yoga, Flex 14/15 and Flex 20 AIO is $1,099.99, $949, $629.99 and $899.99, respectively. The Yoga 2 Pro will be available beginning in October while the Flex products will be available starting in late September. The ThinkPad Yoga will be available beginning in November.
