Most of the brands are bringing Minis and Lite versions of their flagship and LG has done same in the form of LG Pro Lite. The LG G Pro Lite is a more budget-friendly version of the Optimus G Pro.



The device is pretty interesting, it looks like the Optimus G Pro and includes Dual-SIM support also. There are stereo speakers on the bottom and a stylus included with it as well.

The LG G Pro Lite comes with 5.5 inch display but with lower qHD ( 960x540 resolution ). Under the hood, it packs a Mediatek MT6577 1GHz Cortex A7 dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB storage with microSD card slot.

The device includes 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor, Autofocus and LED flash and 1.3MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and A-GPS. The battery is also pretty huge 3140 mAh.

Why are most of the brands launching phones with mediatek processors when many people are saying that these processors are not efficient enough. Is there something I'm missing. If so, please let me know.

They are cheap and easy to market.
(I.e. "1.5 GHz Quad-core", the average consumer will go for that over something like Snapdragon 400 any day because it is dual core, even though dual-core Krait is faster than quad-core A7)
