LG G2 Goes Official with 5.2" 1080p Display and Snapdragon 800 SoC in tow

LG has officially unveiled its new flagship smartphone - the LG G2. The smartphone comes as no surprise thanks to the leaks and specs are in line with the rumors.



The LG G2 packs 5.2 inch full HD 1080p IPS display with brightness rating of 450 nits and has very thin 2mm bezel.

It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with 2.3GHz quad-core Krait 400 processor and Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The storage will be 16GB or 32GB with microSD card slot for expansion.

The rear camera is has 13MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilization with Autofocus and LED flash and capable of full HD 1080p videos.There is 2.1MP front facing camera as well.

All Connectivity options like LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi dual-band a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC are present. It is powered by 3000mAh battery.

The audio quality is also expected to be great as it offers 24bit/192KHz Hi-Fi playback. The only hardware buttons - volume and power are placed below the camera on backside.

It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box. LG has also added gesture support like minimizing apps with three fingers, auto answering by bringing phone near the ear, double tap screen to wake up.

The LG G2 will be launched globally in the next eight weeks starting from South Korea, North America And Europe markets.
