This resolution has usually been offered by TV and Computer monitor providers usually. The LG Optimus Vu which is yet to be launched has a 5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024x768 on a 4:3 aspect ratio.
This new display by LG has a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and is large in size and also resolution than the Optimus True HD LTE (which has a 1280x720 and a 329 ppi) as this is 0.5 inches larger.
This screen reportedly has better viewing angles, faster response timings, better brightness efficiency and also consumes lesser power.
