is it a a good deal .. in chennai delta page .. its given as it comes with LG LCD TV With 5.1 Channel LG DVD PLAYER FREE..

Suggestions pls ..

If not any suggestions abt Philips LCD ..

Budget : 7.5k max

If with TV,speakers : 12k

Well, you can get a 22" FULL hd monitor for ~9k(dell/samsung/benq) or a 24" full HD monitor(benq ~11.3k/dell ~12.5k)and add an external TV tuner card (.8k to 2k).

^^ True. Purchase a Full HD LCD at 8.5k to 9k and then add an external tv tuner card which costs around 1.2K. Dont go for that LCD.

I have one of those. Picture quality is above average (can't consider to be great). My main advantage had been that it's a compact package. Also I got Airtel economy package free. I usually watch News on TV and this device mostly gets used as monitor and for watching news channels on TV

It satisfies my requirement.

^^^ Thats what...

If uses as a TV is less and mostly used as a monitor, then get a good HD monitor. Add a 1k internal tv tuner card. and you are set. also it will have more functionality then those TVs.

ie. scheduled recording, rewinding, automatic wake-up etc.etc.

@OP you can get a Benq 22" HD monitor for 7.8k. Tell us your current setup/uses. Are you really going to use the new panel as a TV?(most of the time?)

I've the LG M227WA 22"fullHD monitor TV.
The reason i purchased this was for easy input switching bet PC (thru DVI), TV (Thru composite , Videocon D2H),PS3 & xbox 360.
Pic quality is gud, u need to play around with the settings a bit.

If main purpose is playing games then don't go for it. In built sound system is bad - of course you can augment it with external sound system. It has plenty of various I/O ports.
