I think it's better to invest in X6 rather than trying to keep the LGA775, there are couple of DDR2 boards which can be used for X6 and depending on it you can have a 1055T X6(GA-MA785GMT-US2H) + Motherboard for 15K and use your existing DDR2 RAM
