I bought a new AMARON SHIELD Inverter Battery (160Ah) last week, since my earlier battery died. Its an ULM battery which mean's it does need topping up with battery water..

Now there is nothing written anywhere about how frequently one should top up. I was wondering when should I check water level. every 3 months or every 6 months...

Since these batteries were launched a long time ago & many members here had used them so I want to know what is their experience & how do they maintain it. What is the expected life of this battery?

Its a Deep Cycle battery which differs from Car batteries, which have much longer life. My AMARON Hi-Life served me for seven years. That's why I admire AMARON but deep cycle batteries do not have such long life. But still I expect it to work longer than regular batteries if not better than Tubular...
Please Advise..... :)

Even I have Amaraon Inverter shield batteries 100Ah X 2 of them. It has been around 3 -4 months , I have not added anything . I was about to research something about it .

BTW did you try calling Amaron itself ,lets see what they say .I will try to find out something .

Hi!

I have the same batteries for over three years.

Typically I top up the water every three months.

This was suggested by the dealer.

Its working fine for the last three years though the backup has reduced of late.

^... How much backup do you get typically.. How do you open the caps on the battery & how much drop in water level each month...
