hey guyz

i wud like to ask, can u make downloads from limewire faster??

i hav a 512 kbps connection,
but limewire downloads at just 1kbps :mad: :no: :(

help me out guyz
 
huh?..all downloads at that speed only?
cos depending on the source, i get upto 70KBps on my lame 256k conn.
maybe the source from whom ur downloading is restricting the speed? :S

pls read what i typed earlier again..
i said i get upto 70KBps = 560kbps on limewire depending on the host from whom im downloading.

anyway go to tools>options>downloads.
set the slider to the max
 
Make sure that you sort the files shown based on the number of users for each file. That way the file with max users will be at the top. Try downloading that and check the speeds.
 
Depends on the uploader from who you are downloading Boyzin. I've seen many noobs getting worked up at limewire, all they do is search and pick any random reselt with keywords with hardly any sources at all.

To increase your speed, try to select the download with maximum sources.

the frst thing to be searched once u get the free version of a p2p s/w is the PRO version ..

be it limewire , Ares or any other of the same genre..

the PRO version can be dwnloaded from many other sites too .. or Limewire free version only is sufficient to look for it .. hoards of ppl offering it ..

ur offer really is ..... ab kya kahu ... :)
 
Boyzin...I think...you need to do the internet connection setup..in limewire...

Here are the directions:

On the top..of Limewire..go to TOOLS..and then OPTIONS...and then click on hte left side...click on the SPEED tab...and select DSL/CABLE as your choice for the first thing in the SPEED TAB...

I think that should fix it...if it doesnt work..then try using torrents...there better and faster...I mean u have 512kb..theres no way...that your speed in limewire should be only 1kb..it should be around 100 or more...yea..

need more help...im sticking around this thread...I'll get to you as soon as possible...OK
