What if you don't want 1GB per day, unlimited calls, Jio apps etc ? What are the options for 1-2 GB per month for WhatsApp ? Jio wants to spend a minimum of ₹ 150 for 28 days ( not even 30 ). Any plans that hover around ₹100 per month for limited usage ?
 
If u are looking to spend around 100 pm, why not rather recharge jio with cashback schemes? It will come to around 130 bucks pm with lot more benefits. There is 100 bucks cashback offer for amazon pay users. I am also looking for cheaper plans than jio as i have very less outgoing calls and i can manage with wifi at home for data. But since all the market focus is on imitating jio plans, i doubt we would find better alternative. Rather it would turn to be more expensive.

If usage is only for whatsaap, bsnl micromax coupled 100 bucks pm plan looks to be good for u imo. Has unlimited calls and around 5gb (dont remember exact figure) data pm. Only issue is, no 4g and bsnl 3g isnt reliable at all. So not equivalent to jio offers.
 
That would be against my goal of not spending money unnecessarily. Everyone is trying to give free calls and unlimited calls. No one cares about users with a small budget.
 
Actually, most of the vendors look for targetting an ARPU of 130-150 INR, hence, with all probability, you would end up spending that much.

I too will be moving away from the 1GB per day plan to a quarterly or other plan, since I hardly use even 100MB a day...

I am always on wifi at work and at home so i need data for emails only . I use 29 rs recharg of airtel and vodafone to get approximately 115 mb data per month on my Samsung galaxy phones . It suffices for me . I top up my balance with full talktume of 100 rs every three months and subscribe on a 1p per second plan of 56 and 60 days on both networks at 34 and 16 rs respectively . So every month my average spend per phone is less than 100 rs . Mostly about 75 rs max . So jio 150 plan is if no use to me as i do not use that kind of data. So never recharged my jio number till today . I do not see the use of these 150 + plans for me anytime soon . Also in mumbai i find for my personal use vodafone gives me better service than airtel .
